Shannon DeCelle was born in Troy, New York.

Ms DeCelle has a B.A. in Social Science from Purchase College and M.S. in Visual Arts Education from the College of Saint Rose.  Ms DeCelle is a New York State Certified Visual Arts Instructor working in the Berlin Central School District.  She has taught students kindergarten through Advanced Placement 2-D, and as a Photojournalism Adjunct at the State University at Albany.

She worked as a staff photographer at the Berkshire Eagle and The Register Star.  Ms. DeCelle was the upstate photographer for The New York Post for many years and continues to freelance for a variety of publications, organizations, marketing agencies and individuals.  She has also worked as  a photography hiking guide at Canyon Ranch in Lenox Massachusetts.

Shannon lives in Rensselaer County New York, where you’ll find her in the woods with Jack the dog.
